Breakfast was not available at the time advertised on the web-site, which caused me to be late for my appointment. The whole place is in need of re-decoration and freshening up.
It's a pub and close to a relative we visited. Ideal for an overnight stay. The room is small but comfortable with twin beds and private faclities.
Bathroom was really grim and not pleasant, needs a complete revamp, tiling grout was black and dirty, taps were covered in limescale and generally on the whole not a pleasant thing to see. The pub was located on a busy main road with a lot of traffic noise and the rooms are located in front of a decking area where there was a party of people making noise until nearly midnight. Breakfast was pretty basic but the pub itself is nice and the food was really nice.
Very comfortable all the essentials in the room nice and quiet over night
Would have liked a bigger tv
What a jewel of a place! So relaxed and unassuming yet perfect. Its price belies the care that goes into your stay! A 15 min walk from the station, situated opposite a park.
easy acess to the venue I was attending and access to a brilliant hairdreser.
The room was comfortable with all the basic needs covered. It was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. The food at the hotel was good value meaning we did not need to drive in the evening.
The toilet seat was broken, easy replacement otherwise no negative points.
Very firendly staff. Convenient location for our purposes. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
The room was let down by the bathroom. The edging strip had come away around the bath, revealing thick black mould, there was a huge crack in the sink and the toilet was reluctant to flush.
Quickly booked in and everything in the room ok>
The notice about leaving nothing in your car makes me nervous! I gather there are security cameras and no history of break-ins in fact.
Staff where very polite and efficient.
Internet access was not available in Room 6 and the garden area just outside of the bar. Ttraffic noise was excessive. Doors to room should have better sound insulation.
Good accommodation for one night at a fair price.
Decorations and fittings could do with some TLC. Breakfast only available from 7:30.
Very friendly staff, and although the breakfast choice was limited it was freshly prepared and well coooked. True to their word the noise from the outside pub seating area did die down quickly on the thursday night.
The rooms have obviously been redecorated, however our bathroom was not up to scratch, large dirty crack in sink, lots of visible black mould in bathroom and the position of toilet handle made it virtually impossible to flush without been double jointed, and then it took three or four goes to get any responce. There was also a lack of hot water on the saturday morning. shame as this lets the place down.
Brilliant location and very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent value for money- much better than the premier inn which is just down the road! Had a wonderful stay and would recommend the Wellington Arms to a friend in an instant!
Each room is a converted stable so has lots of character. The owners were incredibly friendly and flexible on when we checked out and didn't mind us rolling in at 4am after a ball at the military college! Excellent breakfast- just what we needed.
The bathroom had a bit of mould around the shower.
Really nice hotel with excellent food and nice room. Although it is on a main road I found it was really quiet.
